Missiles hit Kyiv early Tuesday, fires reported across multiple districts

Kyiv’s air alert was lifted after about 50 minutes, and officials said two storage areas were hit and set on fire in Holosiivskyi.

Russian forces launched missiles at Kyiv early on Tuesday, triggering fires in multiple, widely separated districts across the Ukrainian capital, according to senior officials cited by SCMP Economy.

The outlet reported that Kyiv’s air alert was lifted after about 50 minutes, with officials also saying no casualties were reported.

SCMP Economy added that Tymur Tkachenko, head of the capital’s military administration, said two storage areas were hit and burned in the Holosiivskyi district just outside the city center.

The report said drone debris fell in an eastern suburb and cars were set ablaze, as air raid sirens sounded before several explosions were heard.
