Coinbase executive Jesse Pollak hands Base app leadership to Cobie

The Block reports that Jesse Pollak, a Coinbase executive, will shift his role away from Base app leadership after acknowledging that some social-focused efforts did not meet expectations.

Instead, Pollak will concentrate on Base blockchain infrastructure, with priorities including trading, stablecoin payments, and AI agents.

The change places Cobie in charge of the Base app, while Pollak focuses on underlying platform development and related product directions, The Block said.
