eXp Realty hires former NAHREP president Carmen Mercado as an agent

Mercado, previously an affordable lending director at Freddie Mac, will focus on growing her team and expanding residential and investor business at eXp.

HousingWire reports that eXp Realty has added Carmen Mercado, a former national president of NAHREP, as a real estate agent.

Mercado also previously served as director of affordable lending at Freddie Mac, and has more than 20 years of experience spanning residential real estate, brokerage leadership, housing finance, and affordable lending.

eXp CEO Leo Pareja said Mercado’s experience and inclusive mindset align with the company’s model, framing the hire as adding both leadership and industry preparation.

Mercado said she plans to grow her own team at eXp while expanding her residential and investor business, and will work with corporations, nonprofits, and industry partners on business development and market insights.
