Vlad.fun suspends memecoin launchpad amid internal integrity probe
The project took its platform offline to investigate a claimed internal integrity issue and consult legal counsel, without disclosing the alleged misconduct.
Vlad.fun, the memecoin launchpad linked to the Robinhood Chain ecosystem, suspended operations after identifying what it called a serious internal integrity issue involving members of its own team, according to Cointelegraph.
The platform said it took the site offline while it investigates and consults legal counsel on potential action against those responsible, but it did not disclose the nature of the alleged misconduct.
Cointelegraph reported that hours before the shutdown, Vlad.fun warned users that a token bearing the platform name circulating on its leaderboard was not official, noting that its permissionless launchpad allows anyone to create tokens.
Robinhood launched Robinhood Chain on July 1 as an Arbitrum-based Ethereum layer 2 aimed at tokenized stocks, real-world assets, and onchain financial services, with memecoins becoming a dominant use case within days, according to Galaxy Digital.
