Elizabeth Warren asks Trump for added crypto earnings disclosures
Warren says Trump’s 2025 financial filing, submitted June 30, showed $1.4 billion in crypto-related earnings and she wants details for Jan. 1 to July 15 ahead of a July 23 request date.
Senator Elizabeth Warren has asked President Donald Trump to provide additional financial disclosure information about his crypto earnings between Jan. 1 and July 15, citing a pending Senate vote on crypto legislation.
According to Cointelegraph, Warren’s letter requests that Trump voluntarily release a financial disclosure report ahead of a July 23 deadline, even though Trump is not required to file his 2026 annual report until May 2027.
The request follows Trump’s 2025 disclosures showing $1.4 billion in crypto-related earnings, including via his memecoin, Official Trump (TRUMP), and his family’s company World Liberty Financial. Warren linked the timing to the Senate’s consideration of the Digital Asset Market Clarity, or CLARITY, Act.
Cointelegraph reports that Trump’s 2025 disclosure was filed on June 30 under a US Office of Government Ethics mandate meant to prevent conflicts of interest, and it says Warren argued the filing raises questions about whether presidents and senior officials and their families should profit from the crypto industry while lawmakers debate market structure rules.
