Amazon’s $25 billion bond sale draws $62 billion in demand
The offering was oversubscribed at 2.5 times, and the notes span maturities from 2029 through 2066 across eight tranches.
Amazon raised $25 billion through a bond sale that attracted $62 billion in demand, according to Yahoo Finance. The notes were marketed across eight tranches with maturities ranging from 2029 to 2066.
The deal peaked with orders reaching 2.48 times oversubscribed, the outlet said. It also cited Amazon’s interest coverage ratio of 35.17x, arguing that the company can service the coupon comfortably.
Yahoo Finance further connected the financing to Amazon’s investment and expansion plans, stating that the company has $102 billion in cash available and that a roughly $200 billion 2026 capital expenditure plan is intended to fund data center capacity.
The article also pointed to demand signals for AWS capacity, including a $364 billion contractual backlog, and described recent AWS growth and operating leverage alongside rising capex.
