Analysts keep Nvidia atop chip-stock picks into Q2 earnings season

Oppenheimer said AI infrastructure spending from hyperscale cloud providers, enterprise initiatives, and sovereign AI programs has further runway for Nvidia’s product cycle.

Wall Street remains focused on Nvidia as a lead chip name heading into the next earnings season, with analysts continuing to point to ongoing demand for AI infrastructure, according to Yahoo Finance.

Oppenheimer recently reiterated Nvidia as its top chip stock into second-quarter earnings, arguing that the AI buildout is still far from complete. The outlet cited analyst Rick Schafer’s view that hyperscale cloud providers are spending hundreds of billions on AI data centers, while enterprise AI, sovereign AI initiatives, and newer cloud platforms continue to expand the opportunity set.

Yahoo Finance also highlighted Nvidia’s product cadence, including references to its Blackwell and Vera Rubin platforms, as a key reason the firm expects Nvidia to maintain its technology lead. The outlet said potential AI revenue opportunities are not fully reflected in current estimates.

The piece adds that Nvidia, headquartered in Santa Clara, California, has evolved from a gaming chipmaker into a central supplier for AI data centers and cloud computing, and it noted the company’s market capitalization of $5 trillion.
