Augustus raises $180 million Series B to build a global dollar bank

The company says its platform will support stablecoins alongside payment rails including Swift, ACH, and SEPA.

Augustus, a fintech developing a “Global Dollar Bank,” raised $180 million in a Series B round at a $1 billion valuation, according to The Block.

The company plans to build out the platform to support stablecoins alongside traditional payment rails, including Swift, ACH, and SEPA, it said in a press release.

The fundraising is positioned to expand the firm’s efforts to bring dollar-linked payments and stablecoin functionality into a broader network.
