Bitget plans US expansion with or without the Clarity Act

Bitget paused its US expansion plans in 2022, and now its CEO says the exchange will proceed regardless of whether the Clarity Act advances.

Bitget is signaling it will move ahead with plans to expand into the United States, even if the proposed Clarity Act does not progress, according to The Block.

The outlet says Bitget CEO Gracy Chen is leading the push after earlier shelving US expansion plans in 2022.

The Block frames the decision around uncertainty over whether US digital-asset legislation will provide clearer rules for crypto exchanges.
