MEXC launches TAO staking integration for Bittensor users

The exchange connected to validator Yuma, enabling TAO staking for MEXC’s reported 40 million users.

Cryptocurrency exchange MEXC has added staking support for Bittensor’s native TAO token, giving its global user base a way to earn rewards by helping secure the decentralized AI network, according to Cointelegraph. MEXC’s integration uses validator infrastructure from Yuma, which evaluates Bittensor subnets, assigns weights, and influences how staking rewards are distributed across the network’s specialized AI applications. The companies said the goal is to broaden access to the Bittensor ecosystem and increase participation. Bittensor is organized around 128 specialized subnets that compete for token rewards based on performance and usefulness, covering tasks including AI inference, model training, coding assistants, and financial modeling. TAO holders stake tokens to validators, and validators allocate that stake across subnets to earn rewards. The article notes that TAO was trading at around $199 at the time of writing, valuing the token at roughly $1.9 billion in market capitalization, according to CoinMarketCap.
