Abdeladim Bousselam promoted to CUO of TransRe Europe

Bousselam joined TransRe in January 2025 as head of MEA and helped expand the company’s Middle East portfolio and broker relationships.

Transatlantic Holdings, the reinsurance arm of Alleghany Corporation, has promoted Abdeladim Bousselam to chief underwriting officer of TransRe Europe, effective immediately.

In the role, Bousselam will report to Louise Rose, president of the international division.

Transatlantic said Bousselam originally joined TransRe from Swiss Re as head of MEA in January 2025, where he helped drive an immediate impact on the TransRe Middle East portfolio by building and strengthening local client and broker relationships.

The company added that Bousselam has more than 12 years at Swiss Re in roles of increasing responsibility, including vice president and senior regional manager, before moving to TransRe.
