Aye Finance shares fall nearly 8% after Q1FY27 results

Despite a 144.0% year-on-year jump in Q1FY27 profit to ₹74.5 crore, profit fell 13.3% quarter-on-quarter as revenue dipped and GNPA stood at 4.49%.

Aye Finance shares dropped nearly 8% in intraday trading on July 22 after the company posted results for April to June, even as profit surged year over year. LiveMint Markets said the stock opened at ₹191.15 and slid 7.6% to an intraday low of ₹175.15 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company reported June-quarter profit after tax rising 144.0% year on year to ₹74.5 crore from ₹30.6 crore, while quarterly profit declined 13.3% from ₹85.91 crore in Q4FY26. LiveMint Markets also reported total revenue from operations increased 17.7% year on year to ₹477.37 crore but fell 7.3% quarter on quarter.

Asset quality showed GNPA of 4.49% and NNPA of 1.67%, with LiveMint Markets noting reductions of 28 bps and 12 bps respectively versus the previous quarter. The outlet said Aye Finance reported six quarters of continuous reduction in credit cost, which came in at 4.01% in Q1FY27, down from 4.30% in Q4FY26, and the firm expects the trend to continue through FY27.

Aye Finance also reported 28.0% year-on-year growth in AUM to ₹7,324 crore, supported by a 38% increase in new customer onboarding, according to LiveMint Markets. The company said disbursement rose 22% year on year to ₹1,219 crore and it added 44,736 new borrowers during Q1FY27, while guidance pointed to 25% to 30% targeted growth for the year.
