Mortgage rates rise again, but homebuyer demand increases

Rates last week climbed to the highest level since last August, even as more inventory encouraged buyers to move.

Mortgage rates rose again last week to the highest level since last August, according to CNBC Markets.

Despite the higher borrowing costs, homebuyer demand increased as buyers appeared to find more advantages in the current market.

CNBC Markets said the uptick in demand is linked to buyers seeing more home supply.

The change suggests demand is responding to improving availability even while mortgage rates remain elevated.
