Century Communities tops Q2 delivery guidance with 20% adjusted margin
The homebuilder reported 2,506 closings in Q2 2026, a 30 basis point increase in adjusted gross margin from the prior quarter.
Century Communities exceeded its Q2 2026 delivery guidance, delivering 2,506 homes while generating a 20% adjusted homebuilding gross margin, up 30 basis points from the first quarter, HousingWire reports. The outlet said management pointed to broad operating gains, including more selling communities and lower direct construction costs.
The company also reported record activity, with selling communities reaching 330, and said ARMs neared 35% of originations. HousingWire added that orders rose 3% year over year and 10% sequentially.
In addition to operating progress, HousingWire noted Century Communities said book value per share climbed to $90.24, another company record. The outlet added that management described improvements across multiple parts of its operating system rather than a single change, including falling construction costs, improved cycle times, and tighter management of spec inventory.
HousingWire also said Century Communities indicated mortgage products are expanding affordability and that land investment continues despite an uncertain backdrop. The article frames those efforts as part of a broader strategy to improve performance across operations.
