Coinbase plans to raise Singapore headcount to about 200 by 2026
Coinbase said it plans hiring for engineering, customer service, relationship management, and institutional sales at its Singapore office.
Coinbase plans to expand its Singapore presence by increasing headcount from 150 to about 200 employees by the end of 2026, according to Cointelegraph, citing an interview with the exchange’s Singapore country director, Hassan Ahmed.
Cointelegraph reports that Coinbase’s hiring focus includes engineers, customer service staff, relationship management roles, and institutional sales representatives, at the office it opened at One Raffles Quay on Wednesday.
Cointelegraph also notes that Coinbase received a major payment institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore in October 2023, allowing it to expand services to local individuals and institutions under MAS’s licensing framework.
The outlet adds that Singapore licenses digital payment token service providers under a regime overseen by the MAS, which tightened licensing requirements in 2025 and pushed unlicensed firms to leave the market.
