What to Expect From ExxonMobil's Q2 2026 Earnings
Analysts look for diluted EPS of $3.88 on July 31, while Exxon shares have gained 41.7% over the past 52 weeks amid a surge in WTI crude tied to Iran-related tensions.
Yahoo Finance previews Exxon Mobil Corp.'s upcoming Q2 2026 earnings release, scheduled for Friday, July 31, before the market opens.
Ahead of the report, analysts expect diluted EPS of $3.88, a gain of 136.6% versus $1.64 in the year-ago quarter. The outlet also notes Exxon has beaten Wall Street's EPS estimates in each of the last four quarters.
For the full fiscal year, analysts project EPS of $11.38 for 2026, up 62.8% from $6.99 in fiscal 2025, followed by a roughly 5.1% year over year decline to $10.80 in fiscal 2027. Yahoo Finance adds that Exxon stock has risen 41.7% over the past 52 weeks, outpacing the S&P 500's 19.2% gain and the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF's 38.6% return during the same period.
The preview ties recent strength in Exxon shares to a jump in oil prices, including a July 13 session when WTI rose more than 9% after the US launched fresh missile attacks against Iran. It also summarizes that, with Iran retaliating and tensions around the Strait of Hormuz persisting, oil prices are expected to remain supported as the company heads into its earnings date.
