Intuit slides amid AI disruption fears and a dividend-growth outlook change
Intuit closed at $284.47 on July 22, and one-quarter pressure from AI disruption concerns reportedly led Bristol’s strategy to liquidate its INTU stake.
Bristol Gate Capital Partners published its Q2 2026 investor letter for its US Equity Strategy, noting that generative AI disruption fears remained the dominant theme as the focus shifted from early adoption to broader enterprise use.
In the letter, the firm highlighted Intuit Inc. as a key name under pressure due to concerns that generative AI could disrupt its core business model, describing the situation as involving intensified scrutiny over earnings durability.
The outlet also cited Intuit’s market performance and valuation context from July 22, 2026, when the company closed at $284.47 per share. Intuit’s one-month return was 11.5%, while shares were down 63.6% over the past 52 weeks, and the company’s market capitalization was $77.81 billion.
According to Yahoo Finance, Bristol US Equity Strategy said it liquidated its stake in Intuit following a quarterly report that disappointed investors, citing a deterioration in projected dividend-growth trajectories and stating it redeployed the capital into what it views as higher-conviction opportunities.
