World Network raises $52.5 million to scale its AI-proof of human tech
The World Foundation said the new locked token sale will fund integrations of Orb credentials across enterprise platforms and AI agents.
CoinDesk reports that the World Foundation, which runs the World Network, secured $52.5 million in fresh funding via a locked token sale led by Pantera Capital.
The nonprofit said it will use the capital to integrate its Orb-based proof of human identity technology across enterprise platforms and AI agents, as concerns about bots and online deepfakes increase.
The project said it has attracted more than 39 million people to the World Network, with more than 18 million verified by an Orb and more than 475 million World ID proofs issued.
CoinDesk also noted the World Network raised $135 million in its earlier funding round in May of last year, in a private token sale of its world coin (WLD) token.
