AMINA explores public listing options with Cantor amid crypto market churn

The Swiss crypto bank said the near-term priority is securing strategic growth capital rather than pursuing a fast stock listing vehicle.

Swiss crypto bank AMINA is working with Wall Street firm Cantor to evaluate routes to a potential public listing, with talks still ongoing and no final decision made, according to the company and people familiar with the discussions.

AMINA has explored multiple paths to the public markets, including a SPAC merger, and is said to favor going public through a reverse takeover of a digital asset treasury company, though it has not entered definitive discussions with specific vehicles.

In emailed comments, an AMINA spokesperson said approaches from SPACs and similar vehicles have focused on quick listings, while AMINA is seeking options that can support strategic growth capital. The spokesperson also said the bank is currently in discussions with potential investors, and that an IPO could be a logical next step in the future.

Founded in 2018 as SEBA Bank and rebranded as AMINA in 2023, the lender is supervised by FINMA and offers crypto trading, custody, staking and lending for institutional and professional investors, while expanding into Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong and India. The move comes as several crypto firms have pursued public-market deals over the past year amid volatile market conditions.
