Dream Finders raises hostile bid for Beazer to $32 a share
Beazer is set to release fiscal third-quarter results on Aug. 10, the same day it must file its 10-Q, adding urgency to the contested takeover process.
Dream Finders Homes has raised its hostile all-cash offer for Beazer Homes to $32 per share, continuing a campaign that has escalated over multiple steps since early in the year. The bid follows earlier increases that brought the proposal from $25.75 per share in May to $29.25, and then up to the latest level.
HousingWire reports Beazer’s fiscal third-quarter results are scheduled for August 10, a date that also matches the company’s 10-Q filing deadline. The timing is notable because Beazer historically released its third-quarter results in late July or by the first days of August, so the shift is drawing speculation about whether other developments could come before the filing.
The dispute around process also remains a key part of the story. Dream Finders says it is prepared to sign a confidentiality agreement immediately and begin due diligence, but it has resisted Beazer’s proposed 12-month standstill, arguing it would limit its ability to re-engage shareholders or nominate directors if negotiations fail. Beazer, meanwhile, says all interested parties should follow the same customary process.
Against a backdrop of industry headwinds including rising mortgage rates and a cautious consumer, Beazer shares have been holding above $32 since Dream Finders’ most recent hostile proposal on July 8, and the stock is up more than 60% in 2026, according to the outlet.
