HashKey consolidates regional crypto exchanges into one platform
HashKey said users across Hong Kong, Global, Singapore, and the Middle East will access the exchange through a single application while the platform manages compliance for each jurisdiction.
Hong Kong digital asset services firm HashKey Holdings said it has merged its HashKey Exchange and HashKey Global into one unified exchange platform and application, consolidating major jurisdictional hubs including Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and Bermuda.
Under HashKey’s approach of “unified entry, localized compliance,” customers download the same app, while the platform manages compliance according to each user’s legislative domain, creating one front-end for accessing systems that are intended to remain aligned with local regulatory frameworks.
Cointelegraph notes the shift marks a move away from earlier industry models in which licensed exchanges operated in regional silos to simplify compliance.
The announcement also describes how the single platform is supported by separate legal entities across jurisdictions including Singapore, Dubai, Australia, the EEA, Brazil, and the United States. It cites other consolidation examples as context, including OKX’s structure for assigning customers by residence and Kraken’s consolidation of its European operations under related entities after acquiring BCM in September 2024.
