Fortitude launches Nebraska mining facility to lower Zcash costs

The new 12-megawatt site is expected to cut Fortitude’s direct cash mining cost per ZEC from about $70 to roughly $40.

The Block reports that Fortitude, a Zcash mining company backed by Barry Silbert, has brought a new facility in Nebraska online to reduce its ZEC production costs.

Fortitude expects the 12-megawatt mining site to lower its direct cash mining cost from about $70 per ZEC to roughly $40 per ZEC.

The update is aimed at improving the economics of mining Zcash as the company ramps operations at the new location.
