Hindustan Unilever profit falls 3% YoY to ₹2,673 crore in Q1FY27

Revenue from product sales rose 10.3% YoY to ₹17,149 crore, while HUL said underlying sales growth hit 10% for the quarter, its highest in 13 quarters.

Hindustan Unilever reported a 3% year-on-year decline in consolidated profit to ₹2,673 crore for the April-June quarter of fiscal 2026-27, or Q1FY27. Profit fell 10.7% quarter-on-quarter from ₹2,992 crore in Q4FY26, Reuters reported in the update.

The company’s product sales revenue increased 10.3% year-on-year and 6% sequentially to ₹17,149 crore. Total turnover for the quarter, including product and service sales plus other operating revenue, rose 10% YoY and 6% QoQ to ₹17,341 crore.

HUL’s EBITDA grew 8% YoY to ₹3,947 crore, though its EBITDA margin slipped to 23%, down 40 basis points year-on-year while remaining within its guided range. The quarter also included restructuring expenses of ₹115 crore, compared with ₹90 crore in Q1FY26, according to the filing referenced by LiveMint Markets.

The company said it delivered its highest growth in 13 quarters, with underlying sales growth of 10% and turnover of ₹17,184 crore in Q1FY27. In addition, it attributed the segment’s performance to drivers including volume and price, and said the underlying demand environment remained stable during the quarter, LiveMint Markets reported.
