Riverwater trimmed Mama's Creations after stock run
The Riverwater Micro Opportunities Strategy underperformed the Russell Microcap Index in Q2 2026 despite a positive absolute return.
Riverwater Partners trimmed Mama's Creations, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAMA) as part of its Micro Opportunities Strategy, according to the firm's Q2 2026 investor letter covered by Yahoo Finance. The update links the move to valuation concerns after the food stock’s strong run.
In the quarter, the Micro Opportunities strategy underperformed the Russell Microcap Index even though it delivered a positive absolute result, the letter said. Over the past 12 months, the strategy has also lagged the index.
The letter attributed market action in Q2 2026 to an accelerating artificial intelligence buildout and a persistent geopolitical supply shock. It also noted sector performance within the micro-cap market, saying Industrials led while Information Technology lagged.
For Mama's Creations specifically, Yahoo Finance reported that the company closed at $17.74 per share on July 24, 2026. It cited a one-month return of -14.1% and a 52-week gain of 100.9%, and said Mama's Creations has a market capitalization of $824.9 million.
