Riverwater Micro Opportunities added Allot after buyback announcement
Riverwater said the buyback helped it increase Allot Ltd. exposure, noting its technology weighting was too thin after the quarter.
Riverwater Partners’ Micro Opportunities Strategy said in its Q2 2026 investor letter that it increased its position in Allot Ltd. (NASDAQ:ALLT) following a substantial buyback announcement.
According to the letter, the strategy underperformed the Russell Microcap Index in Q2 2026, even with a positive absolute result, as the benchmark benefited from a more speculative micro-cap period.
Riverwater framed its approach around owning profitable, well-managed small businesses at reasonable prices rather than chasing short-lived market trends. It also pointed to an accelerating artificial intelligence buildout and a persistent geopolitical supply shock as drivers of market action during the quarter.
In material on Allot, the stock closed on July 24, 2026 at $7.65 per share, for a market capitalization of $374.3 million, with a one-month return of -11.8% and a 52-week decline of 4.4%. The firm also said it increased Allot after the buyback, which it said modestly raised technology exposure that it determined was too thin during the quarter, according to Yahoo Finance.
