Tesla shares fall after earnings miss despite record deliveries

Tesla posted $28.24 billion in second-quarter revenue, but non-GAAP EPS of $0.33 missed the $0.53 estimate even as deliveries hit a record 480,126 units.

Tesla shares slid after the company reported a second-quarter 2026 earnings miss, despite revenue growth and record vehicle deliveries, according to analysis from Yahoo Finance.

Tesla reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $28.24 billion, up 26% year over year, which topped analyst consensus of $25.7 billion. Non-GAAP earnings per share were $0.33, well below the $0.53 estimate, and the stock fell more than 14% in a single session following the results.

The company said vehicle deliveries reached a record 480,126 units, up 25% year over year and above analyst expectations of about 406,600. Active Full Self-Driving subscriptions rose 56% year over year to 1.48 million.

Yahoo Finance also noted Tesla crossed $100 billion in trailing 12-month revenue for the first time, but operating income fell 57% year over year to $398 million.
