Asian Paints Q1 profit rises 40% to ₹1,539.25 crore
Revenue from operations rose 18% year over year to ₹10,521.44 crore, and international sales climbed 27.2% to ₹936.5 crore.
Asian Paints reported a 40% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit for the June quarter, with profit attributable to owners rising to ₹1,539.25 crore, according to LiveMint Markets.
The company said revenue from operations increased 18% year over year to ₹10,521.44 crore. Profit before tax grew 39% to ₹2,096 crore, while PBDIT rose 33% to ₹2,169 crore, with PBDIT margin improving to 20.6% from 18.2% in the prior-year quarter.
LiveMint Markets reported that international business was the main growth driver, with international net sales up 27.2% year over year to ₹936.5 crore, including constant currency sales growth of 20.3%. International PBT nearly doubled to ₹74.1 crore, rising 94.9% year over year, helped by performance in Egypt, the UAE, Oman, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
In Home Décor, LiveMint Markets said bath fittings revenue fell 4.3% to ₹84.9 crore and the loss before tax widened to ₹8.8 crore, while kitchen net sales increased 10.1% to ₹108 crore and the loss before tax narrowed to ₹0.3 crore. Looking ahead, the company said it will monitor volatility in raw material prices and continue investing in technology, innovation, and customer-focused initiatives.
