Ethereum Foundation adds security researcher pcaversaccio to board

The appointment brings the board to four members and is for an initial one-year voluntary term, as the foundation reshapes its long-term stewardship role.

The Ethereum Foundation has appointed longtime ecosystem contributor and prominent security researcher pcaversaccio, known as pc, to its board for an initial one-year voluntary term, expanding the leadership group responsible for the organization’s strategy and governance.

CoinDesk reports that pc is a security researcher and co-founder of emergency response initiative SEAL 911, and has also served on the Ethereum Foundation’s Silviculture Society, an advisory group that provides informal guidance on preserving core principles such as censorship resistance, open source development, privacy, and security.

The addition increases the foundation’s board to four members: President Aya Miyaguchi, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, Swiss legal counsel Patrick Storchenegger, and pcaversaccio.

The Ethereum Foundation said the board sets its strategic vision and helps ensure management decisions align with its values, and also functions as a security council focused on safeguarding the foundation’s mission and complying with Swiss law, where it is based, as it undergoes broader leadership changes and refines its role toward long-term stewardship.
