Manager warns of tech profit squeeze, points to a capital cycle shift

MFS Investment Management strategist Robert Almeida says investors are fixating on the Federal Reserve rather than broader capital-cycle changes.

MFS Investment Management’s chief global investment strategist Robert Almeida warned that a profit squeeze could be coming for technology and said investors are positioning too narrowly around the Federal Reserve, according to MarketWatch.

Almeida argued that attention should shift to what he described as a major change in the capital cycle, implying that the next phase of returns may be driven more by capital allocation trends than by near-term rate focus.
