Hospitals report more uninsured patients after Obamacare subsidy cuts
After enhanced federal subsidies for Obamacare coverage ended following congressional Republicans decisions, more people who lost coverage are seeking care at hospitals, with many turning to emergency rooms, according to NYT Business.
The outlet said the increased demand is also tied to an inability to pay resulting bills, as uninsured patients do not have coverage to absorb costs.
