KKR posts record Q2 earnings as fundraising hits $133 billion

Fee-related earnings rose 37 percent to $1.21 billion, while revenue increased to $5.73 billion.

KKR reported record earnings for the second quarter of 2026, citing strength in fee-related results as the private equity industry contends with higher interest rates and a backlog of unsold portfolio companies, Commercial Observer reports.

Fee-related earnings climbed 37.0 percent year over year to $1.21 billion, helped by management fees rising more than 25.0 percent. Total operating earnings jumped 29.0 percent year over year to $1.53 billion, the highest quarterly total in the firm’s 50-year history. Revenue increased to $5.73 billion from $5.09 billion a year earlier, and net income rose nearly 40.0 percent to $660.1 million.

KKR also said it sold stakes in eight companies, including Japanese semiconductor manufacturing firm Kokusai Electric and Korean shipbuilder HD Hyundai Marine Solution. While the firm’s opportunistic real estate portfolio posted a 1.0 percent gross loss in the quarter, it generated a 1.0 percent gross return over the past 12 months.

On fundraising, KKR raised $34.0 billion in new capital during the quarter, bringing its 12-month fundraising total through June to a record $133.0 billion. The company highlighted progress in AI infrastructure, including commitments and investments totaling over $75.0 billion across digital infrastructure and power, and the June launch of a $10.0 billion vehicle focused on data center infrastructure needs.
