SoFi logs $1.2 million in Q2 net crypto transaction revenue
SoFi reported $134.3 million of gross crypto transaction revenue in Q2, with $133.1 million in transaction costs, leaving net crypto transaction revenue of $1.183 million and no standalone crypto profit disclosure.
SoFi Technologies reported 388,336 cumulative crypto products as of June 30, but its Q2 filing showed only $1.183 million of net crypto transaction revenue.
In the filing, SoFi listed about $134 million of crypto transaction revenue and about $133 million of transaction costs for the quarter, leaving net transaction revenue equal to roughly 0.88% of the gross line. CryptoSlate notes that SoFi does not disclose a standalone crypto profit figure.
CryptoSlate reports that SoFi records crypto transactions on a gross basis because it acts as principal, buying digital assets from or selling them to third-party liquidity providers before transferring assets to or from member accounts. Under this approach, money from member buys and sells is booked in gross crypto revenue, while most flows back out to cover the assets and related payments.
The outlet also said SoFi’s net crypto transaction revenue increased from Q1’s $852,000, which followed $121 million of gross revenue offset by $120 million in transaction costs. SoFi previously announced a phased launch of consumer crypto trading on Nov. 11, 2025, and the Q2 results show higher net transaction revenue after the launch but no indication of crypto profitability.
