DEXs gain record share of spot crypto trading as CEX volumes slide
Decentralized exchanges captured 24% of spot crypto trading, while spot exchange volume is on track to hit a 12-month low of $670 million.
The Block reports that decentralized exchanges have captured a record 24% share of spot crypto trading, even as centralized exchange activity continues to weaken.
According to The Block, spot exchange volume is on track to set a new 12-month low at $670 million, down from an annual high of $2.23 trillion.
The shift highlights how trading flows are moving away from centralized venues toward decentralized platforms during the current pullback in spot volumes.
