Palantir shares surge after blowout second-quarter commercial momentum

CNBC reports Palantir attributed strong demand to customers seeking autonomy from its language lab offerings, a stance management linked to commercial revenue strength.

Palantir shares jumped about 16% after the company posted blowout second-quarter results, with market focus shifting to commercial performance, CNBC Markets reported.

Following the earnings, Palantir co-founder and CEO Alex Karp said the company’s customers have resisted becoming “vassal states” of its language labs, framing that approach as part of why demand has accelerated for its commercial business.

CNBC World also highlighted Karp’s comments in the aftermath of the report, pointing to the same commercial demand drivers cited by management after the quarter’s results.
