SpaceX reports much higher AI-related capital spending in first post-IPO results
The company said capital expenditures rose nearly sevenfold year over year, alongside higher revenue.
Elon Musk’s rocket company, SpaceX, reported results for the first time since its IPO, saying its capital expenditures jumped sharply and linked the higher spending to AI-related demands, according to the New York Times Business.
The outlet reported that SpaceX’s capital expenditures increased nearly seven times from a year earlier, indicating a major step up in spending intensity.
SpaceX also reported that revenue rose, adding another signal that the company’s expansion is continuing as it scales its technology and operations.
