Telegram token Gram jumps after Apple restores the app
Gram fell roughly 6.4% after Apple briefly removed Telegram from the App Store, then rebounded to around $1.40 after Telegram removed the flagged content and banned the user involved.
Apple briefly removed Telegram from the App Store after its review found content that violated policies related to child sexual abuse material, according to Cointelegraph, citing Bloomberg.
Telegram then removed the content and banned the user who posted it, and Apple restored the messaging app, Cointelegraph reports. The Telegram-linked token Gram dropped about 6.4% to around $1.32 from about $1.41, before recovering to roughly $1.40, based on CoinGecko data.
Cointelegraph also notes Telegram is dealing with legal action in Russia and Australia over how it handles alleged illegal material. Russia is pursuing a terrorism-related charge against founder Pavel Durov, and Australia’s eSafety Commissioner has launched court proceedings over alleged failures to remove terrorism-related content.
