Upstart stock rises as AI model upgrades support stronger loan growth
MarketWatch reports Upstart said it improved its AI model for assessing borrower risk, and the update coincided with a pickup in loan growth that helped lift the stock.
Upstart shares rose after the AI lending company said its recent AI model upgrades are starting to pay off, according to MarketWatch.
The outlet reported that Upstart enhanced its model to better assess the risk of borrowers.
MarketWatch also linked the stock move to an improvement in loan growth, saying the pickup in new lending activity helped drive shares higher.
