BitMart sets Aug. 8 deadline for US users to withdraw crypto

BitMart says US-covered accounts must cancel orders, close positions, and complete withdrawals by 23:59 UTC on Aug. 8, or the exchange may further restrict access afterward.

BitMart has set a withdrawal deadline for users covered by its U.S. compliance rules, requiring them to exit positions and withdraw eligible balances by 23:59 UTC on Aug. 8. The exchange’s notice applies to people residing in or located in the United States, as well as others treated as U.S. users under BitMart’s agreement and policies.

According to the exchange, covered users must cancel outstanding orders, close applicable positions, redeem or withdraw eligible product balances, and remove remaining assets. BitMart also warned that some users may need to convert or withdraw assets that are not supported by their intended destination.

BitMart said withdrawals under the Aug. 8 deadline may require identity verification, source-of-funds information, proof of destination wallet ownership, and a security review. It also noted that it did not provide a maximum processing time, so requests submitted may remain subject to checks even after the Aug. 8 regional cutoff.

The notice also lays out separate timelines for BitMart’s wider platform, including a scheduled wind-down beginning July 26 for new registrations, deposits, new positions, new spot orders, and automated trading, with an end to spot, futures, and other trading at 01:00 UTC on Aug. 26. BitMart said it strongly recommends withdrawals be submitted before 05:00 UTC on Aug. 26, and assets not completed within the recommended period will enter a dedicated procedure, with details still to be specified.
