ESMA adds 12 firms to MiCA register in fourth post-deadline update

The latest update raises authorized crypto-asset service providers under MiCA to 321 and increases the non-compliant entities register to 167 entries.

European Securities and Markets Authority, ESMA, added 12 companies to its Markets in Crypto-Assets, MiCA, register in a fourth update following the July 1 transitional deadline, Cointelegraph reports.

The new authorized crypto-asset service provider, CASP, listings bring the total to 321. The additions include three German cooperative banks, Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Oberbayern Südost, VR Bank Schleswig-Holstein Mitte and VR-Bank Landau-Mengkofen, plus two firms in Spain, Basque Pay and Fintech Payments, and four companies in France, Finary, Woorton, Blockchain Process Security and Shares Financial Assets.

ESMA also added three entities to its non-compliant register, bringing that total to 167 entries. The newly flagged firms are Cervo Rendisco, Flandenzo and Corona Fondenza, identified by Italy’s Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa, CONSOB.

The update did not change other MiCA-related registers. ESMA said the number of authorized e-money token issuers remains at 41, and there are currently no asset-referenced token issuers listed.
