Nasdaq jumps and Dow hits record as oil declines
Nasdaq rose 2.6% on an oil-price drop, while SpaceX shares slipped in the postmarket session.
US stocks moved higher on August 4, 2026, with the Nasdaq gaining 2.6% as oil prices fell, according to WSJ Markets.
The report said the Dow also rallied to a record level amid the broad rise.
SpaceX shares, however, declined in postmarket trading, pointing to investors focusing on upcoming company developments.
