Paul Tudor Jones warns a tougher 2027 for U.S. stocks
He cited a shift away from corporate buybacks and M&A tailwinds, as new equity issuance could weigh on the AI-led rally.
Billionaire hedge-fund investor Paul Tudor Jones said 2027 could be a particularly challenging year for the U.S. stock market, according to CNBC Markets.
Jones argued that corporate buybacks and mergers and acquisitions, which have helped fuel the bull market, are likely to stop acting as tailwinds.
MarketWatch also reported that Jones expects a serious test for U.S. stocks in 2027 as a wave of new equity issuance could disrupt the AI-driven rally.
Across the two outlets, Jones tied his outlook to the possibility that increased supply of new shares would weigh on market conditions as the earlier support from buybacks and deals fades.
