Allstate Q2 2026 revenue climbs 11.8% to $18.6 billion

Net income applicable to common shareholders rose 55.9% to $3.2 billion, and the insurer reported a 86.6% combined ratio as catastrophe losses fell.

Allstate reported total revenues of $18.6 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up 11.8% from $16.6 billion in the year-ago quarter, driven by higher policies in force, higher average homeowners insurance prices, and strong investment results, according to Reinsurance News.

Net income applicable to common shareholders increased 55.9% to $3.2 billion, while adjusted net income rose 46.4% to $2.3 billion. Allstate also reported adjusted net income per diluted share of $8.99 and an adjusted net income return on equity of 44.2% over the last 12 months.

In Property-Liability, premiums written rose 2.6% to $15.4 billion and premiums earned increased 4% to $14.9 billion, reflecting policy growth and higher average homeowners premiums. Underwriting income climbed 56.7% to $2.0 billion, and the company posted a combined ratio of 86.6% versus 91.1% a year earlier, helped by lower catastrophe losses and more favorable prior-year reserve releases.

Allstate Protection’s underwriting profit improved to $226 million from a $76 million loss, reflecting higher earned premiums and lower catastrophe losses. The insurer also said it increased share repurchases to $1.0 billion for the quarter, and that Protection Services revenues rose 7.8% year over year to $935 million, with higher claim costs partially weighing on adjusted net income.
