GAM Swiss Re cat bond fund tops $2.03 billion in AUM

The UCITS fund grew from about $1.56 billion at end 2025, and GAM said H1 2026 performance fees rose to CHF 6.0 million.

GAM said its GAM Swiss Re Cat Bond UCITS Fund has grown its assets under management to $2.03 billion as of August 4, 2026, after expanding meaningfully over recent months. The fund ended the mid year reporting period with almost $2 billion in assets, supported by continued client demand and improved valuation and dealing terms.

In half year 2026 results, GAM reported that the fund’s AUM was up by nearly $500 million from its position at the end of 2025, when the UCITS catastrophe bond vehicle had about $1.56 billion. GAM also highlighted strong demand for catastrophe bond investments within its Alternatives business during H1 2026.

GAM added that its underlying performance fee income increased to CHF 6.0 million in H1 2026, compared with CHF 1.6 million in H1 2025. The firm attributed the rise primarily to performance fees earned on the GAM Swiss Re Cat Bond fund under a fee sharing arrangement with Swiss Re.

GAM said its Swiss Re ILS partnership completed its first full year during H1 2026 and is now fully integrated within GAM. The company also pointed to longer live track records to broaden institutional eligibility and cited its collaboration as providing clients access to catastrophe bond and other specialized ILS capabilities.
