MTR rail service disrupted after signal fault at Kam Sheung Road
The operator said trains were delayed by about 25 to 30 minutes and were moving slowly through the affected section until repairs were completed.
Hong Kong’s rail operator MTR Corporation said passengers on the Tuen Ma line between Hung Hom and Tuen Mun faced delays of about 25 to 30 minutes on Thursday afternoon after a signalling fault at Kam Sheung Road station, according to SCMP Economy.
MTR said the equipment fault was being repaired near the tracks, and it had deployed additional staff to assist riders. The operator urged passengers to allow extra time for their journeys.
MTR said that while trains toward Tuen Mun and Wu Kai Sha remained in service, they were travelling slowly through the affected section, and later reported that the glitch had been repaired and services were gradually returning to normal.
