$160M luxury resort planned for Fort Worth Stockyards at Main and 23rd

Developers plan two hotels with 225 combined rooms, with construction reimbursements up to $8.5M tied to a $112M spending requirement and a 2031 completion deadline.

Developers behind the Hotel Drover plan a new $160M luxury resort for the Fort Worth Stockyards, a public-private project slated for the northeast corner of Main and 23rd streets, according to Bisnow. The project calls for two high-end hotels with a combined 225 rooms, plus a curated mix of restaurants and about 3,000 square feet of retail space. Developers also plan roughly 30,000 square feet of green space connecting to Mule Alley and providing access to the Marine Creek Promenade, with the hotels sharing a subterranean parking garage.

The resort team expects to break ground in the fall of next year and open the property in spring 2030. Fort Worth-based Delightful Development, founded last summer by former Majestic Realty executives Craig Cavileer and Kayla Wilkie-Kinne, is teaming with Woodbine Development Co., with both companies citing the Stockyards Historic District’s recent surge in visitor attention.

Bisnow reports that the Tarrant County Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone approved a development agreement this week that could provide reimbursements of up to $8.5M for public improvements. The agreement requires the developers to spend $112M on construction as part of the overall $160M investment and complete the work by the end of 2031.
