Ark Invest adds to SpaceX and Circle holdings in ARKK portfolio

SpaceX is now ARKK's fifth-largest stake at 4.73%, while Circle is eighth at 3.90%, after Ark bought about $20 million of SpaceX shares and $17.3 million of Circle shares post second-quarter earnings.

Cathie Wood's Ark Invest increased its exposure to both SpaceX and Circle, pushing the companies higher in its flagship innovation ETF, ARKK, according to Decrypt.

SpaceX now represents 4.73% of ARKK, making it the fund's fifth-largest holding at nearly $282 million, while Circle accounts for 3.90%, ranking eighth at about $233 million. The two firms join other major Ark positions including Tesla, Coinbase, Robinhood, OpenAI, Bitmine, and Palantir.

Ark's latest trading disclosure shows the firm continued adding after second-quarter earnings, buying 181,830 SpaceX shares across four ETFs including ARKK. For Circle, Ark bought 273,343 shares across ARKK and two other funds, with the purchases valued at about $20 million for SpaceX and $17.3 million for Circle based on closing prices.

Circle reported $701 million in second-quarter revenue and reserve income, up 7% year over year, with adjusted EBITDA up 8% to $143 million, alongside USDC circulation of $73.3 billion and a 151% jump in on-chain transaction volume to $14.8 trillion. SpaceX shares fell 13.6% after results that included a 92% rise in quarterly revenue to $7.8 billion, while investors focused on the company's $18.4 billion capital expenditures aimed at expanding AI capabilities.
