Standard Engineering Q1 profit rises 26% as shares near lifetime high
The precision engineering firm reported net profit of ₹26.3 crore for Q1 FY27, up 26% year over year, with revenue from operations rising to ₹247.7 crore.
Standard Engineering shares moved sharply higher after the company posted Q1 results for the April to June quarter, with the stock hitting an intraday high of ₹288.35 on Friday, close to its lifetime levels. The shares opened at ₹288.35 versus a Thursday close of ₹274.65.
The company reported net profit of ₹26.3 crore for Q1 FY27, up 26% year on year from ₹20.87 crore in the same period last year. Profit before tax climbed 26.5% to ₹36.0 crore, while revenue from operations increased to ₹247.7 crore from ₹226.7 crore in Q4 FY26.
Standard Engineering said EBITDA rose 27.3% year on year to ₹44.1 crore, with the EBITDA margin steady at 17.5%. The company also pointed to continued investment in new growth platforms, describing its core business as resilient and cash-generating.
The company’s management said it expects performance to remain consistent quarter after quarter, according to LiveMint Markets. It also said it invested ₹71 crore for a 19% stake in its GL Hakko partnership, with the right to raise ownership to 51.07% over three years.
