WLFI hires Ryan Ballantyne to scale its USD1 stablecoin
USD1 has a market capitalization of more than $3 billion, and the hiring is aimed at expanding listings and institutional use.
World Liberty Financial (WLFI) has appointed Ryan Ballantyne as its new Chief Business Officer, according to Yahoo Finance.
WLFI said Ballantyne is tasked with scaling USD1, its fully backed U.S. dollar stablecoin, by expanding across exchanges and DeFi, as well as supporting tokenized assets and enterprise treasury solutions.
Before joining WLFI, Ballantyne worked for several years at Coinbase Institutional, where he built relationships with trading firms, asset managers, and institutional clients, experience WLFI says can help accelerate USD1’s adoption.
Yahoo Finance also notes that USD1 has grown rapidly since its launch and now has a market capitalization of more than $3 billion, placing it among the largest dollar-backed stablecoins globally.
