Wood Partners breaks ground on 280-unit Altera Heights in Apex, N.C.

The developer paid $4.9 million for 13.5 acres north of Highway 64 to support the project, which will include income-restricted affordable housing.

Wood Partners, in partnership with Marcus Partners, has broken ground on Altera Heights, a 280-unit multifamily community in Apex, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh, according to ConnectCRE.

ConnectCRE reports that Wood Partners acquired 13.5 acres north of Highway 64 for $4.9 million. The site is located at the intersection of Jenks and Wimberly roads, and the development will offer a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units.

The community will also include income-restricted affordable housing, and it is planned to feature a freestanding clubhouse with a fitness center and co-working space, along with gaming and lounge areas.

ConnectCRE adds that Altera Heights will be Wood Partners' fourth project to begin construction in the Raleigh-Durham area over the last year, with amenities including a swimming pool, outdoor fitness area, dog park, and pet spa.
