Berkshire Hathaway begins spending its cash pile under new leadership

Berkshire Hathaway has started to deploy its cash pile more aggressively under new leadership, according to The Wall Street Journal Markets.

The conglomerate announced a $6.8 billion deal, alongside a share repurchase program and purchases of other stocks.

WSJ Markets also reported that Berkshire more than doubled its quarterly profits during the period.
